Keno – a game of chance,both the traditional and online version, which resembles a lottery with the difference that balls are used rather than counters
 
Kite – a cheque/check
 
Lay bet – a bet that the contestant won't win, especially popular in horse racing and in betting exchanges
 
Lottery – a game of chance which has lots of different formats – in traditional lottery, people buy tickets with a series of numbers on them, and if their numbers are picked by chance, they win money.
 
Longshot – a contestant which is considered unlikely to win
 
Long odds – odds which are offered against a contestant which is very unlikely to win
 
Lucky 15bet – comprises of 15 bets involving 4 selections in different events – that is 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 four-fold. A return is guaranteed with just one successful selection.
 
Lucky 31bet – comprises of 31 bets involving 5 selections in different events – that is 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold. A return is guaranteed with just one successful selection.
 
Lucky 63bet – comprises of 63 bets involving 6 selections in different events – that is 6 singles, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds and 1 six-fold. A return is guaranteed with just one successful selection.
