A two-year sponsorship agreement has been signed between the leading European online sportsbook Bet-at-home and Spanish first division Real Club Deportivo Mallorca.

Along with the jersey sponsorship, the deal includes advertising panels inside Mallorca's football stadium which can hold more than 23 000 football spectators. Bet-at-home bookmaker will also receive a ‘large presence’ on the club website at RCDMallorca.es.

Bet-at-home's marketing manager revealed the primary reasons for the new Spanish deal: "the high media coverage of the Primera División in Spain and abroad, which provides us the opportunity to strengthen our brand via attractive promotion offers, and the club's willingness and good organisation."

Jordi Jimenez, Press Officer for Real Club Deportivo Mallorca, expressed his happiness for being able to cooperate with a well-known international company. “We are proud and happy that Bet-at-home.com will support our club during these economically difficult times" he added.

Real Club Deportivo Mallorca was established on 5 March 1916. Los Bermellones, as the club is popularly called, is the oldestone on the Balearic Islands. The Spanish team, which spent 20 seasons in Primera Division, won Copa del Rey trophy in 2002-2003 season which was their greatest success. Its highest rank in the Spanish first divison was 3rd (in 1998/1999 and 2000/2001 seasons).

The previous season, Mallorca had finished fifth but  it would not be allowed to compete in this year’s Europa League competition after declaring debts of around €80 million and entering into voluntary administration.
