William Hill is selling Irish betting shops

Word has leaked out that the British bookmaker company William Hill is planning to sell some of its betting shops in Ireland. A potential buyer is an independent bookmaker Boylesports.

It was recently reported that the bookmaker registered in Dundalk had agreed to purchase 15 betting shops. The purpose of this purchase is to save 65 jobs. Established in 1989 the company will increase the number of betting shops to 176 after the deal with William Hill. It is expected that the purchased betting shops will start working under the Boylesports signs in mid-December. In January this year, the Irish company bought 17 betting shops from another well-known Dublin bookmaker Celtic in order to avoid redundancy of a hundred of jobs. According to the representatives of Boylesports the new purchase will secure the place of the largest independent bookmaker of Ireland for it.
