Over/Under bets
In the Over/Under bet a player has to predict how many goals will be scored during the game in total (Team A goals + Team B goals).

There are two possible betting selctions for the player: either predicting that the total number of goals will be less than the bookmaker's suggestion (1,5 or 2,5 or 3,5), or predicting that the total number of goals will be more than the bookmaker's suggestion (1,5 or 2,5 or 3,5).

Example: Over/Under 3,5 bet

For the Over 3,5 selection, the total number of goals during the game must be 4 or more. Therefore, the bet wins, if the match ends in 2-2, 3-1, 0-4, 4-2 etc.

Trivia: Although the Over/Under bet is most commonly used with the total score of the two football teams, other statistics are also used in other sports. For instance, in basketball it can be the combined number of blocks, assists, steals, turnovers.

Total Goals bets
Total Goals bets are similar to Under Over bets. It is also based on predicting how many goals will be scored in total during a game, but in this case you have to be more precise.

There are usually four selections for Total Goals bets, all with a small margin of error: 0-1 (the total number of goals will be 0 or 1), 2-3 (2 or 3 goals in the game), 4-6 (4 or 6 goals in the game), 7+ (7 or more goals in the game).

Sometimes you have to give the precise number of goals in order to win.

Total Goals Odd/Even bets
Total Goals Odd/Even bets are similar to Total Goals bet and Under Over bets as these are also based on predicting how many goals will be scored in total during a game. In this case, however, you have to predict whether the total number of goals scored during the game will be Odd or Even.

Obviously the Odd numbers are 1, 3, 5, 7, and the Even numbers 0, 2, 4, 6, 8. The 0-0 draw is treated as an even number.

Correct Score and Half-Time Score
In the Correct Score bet you have to precisely predict the score after the final whistle.

Usually, a bookmaker provides you with a list of possible scores and respective odds. In the Correct Score betting you can expect very high odds as it is no easy task to predict the correct score of a match.

Half-Time Correct Score bets are practically the same as Correct Score bets, and the only difference is that you have to predict the exact score after the first half of the game.

First team to score bet and First goalscorer bet
In the First team to score bet you have to predict which one of the two teams will score first during the game.

In the First goalscorer bet you have to name the first goalscorer in the game from any of the two teams. Your selection will only be correct if the player you have chosen scores first, and not second or third.

On occassions, bookmakers offer to return bettors their lost stakes if the goalscorer they have chosen manages to score anytime during the game.

Time of first goal
In the Time of first goal bet you have to predict when the first goal will be scored. The 90 minute duration of the game (in the case of football) is usually divided into 10 or 15 minute periods which means that you have either 9 or 5 selections to choose from.

Outright bet (Long -term bet)
Ouright bets (also known as long-term bets) require that you predict the final results of long-term events such as cup tournaments or local leagues.

Some of the most common outright bets: "Which team will win the league?," "Will the X team be in the top 3 of the tournament?," "Will be the Z team be relegated?," "Who will be the top goalscorer in the league? etc.
